Join us for Refuge Middle School Ministry’s first event of the year: Bigger or Better! We will be sending our small groups into the neighborhood to knock on doors and trade items to get the biggest or best thing! Groups start with a paper clip and end with infinite possibilities. We will start at 6:45 PM in the Hall, and have dinner at 6 PM as always.

Baptism is a public way of showing that we belong to Jesus. It symbolizes being washed clean from sin and stepping into new life with Him. The Bible teaches that when we put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven and receive the Holy Spirit—baptism is an outward sign of that inward transformation (Acts 2:38).

Baptism doesn't make us right with God; it's a response to the faith we already have. The water represents cleansing, but it's our trust in Jesus that brings forgiveness (1 Peter 3:21). It's also an act of obedience and a declaration that we’re committed to following Him.

Our next baptism service is Sunday, August 16, and to help you prepare, we'll offer a baptism class on Sunday, August 2 from 10-10:45 AM in the VCC Conference Room.

Join us for a Summer BBQ! If you are part of or volunteer with our Disability Ministry, we'd love for you to join us at the church on Saturday, August 15 from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

We are so excited to be back and begin our weekly program at Refuge. We will begin serving an optional free dinner at 6 PM, and will get started around 6:45 PM. We’ll do a game, worship, teaching, small groups, and prayer. The night ends at 8:30 PM—hope to see you there!

On July 29, Refuge will be at Amador Valley Community Park for games and a BBQ! We will be doing burgers and hot dogs, and will have every game you can imagine: 9-square, kickball, cornhole, board games, and more. Join us from 6:30-8 PM!

Join us for lunch and a conversation with several of our missionaries serving in North Africa—one of the most challenging regions in the world for the gospel. They'll share an honest, up-close look at what daily ministry looks like in a place where following Jesus comes at great cost, the stories of the people they're walking alongside, and the joys and hardships of laboring where the harvest is hard-won.

Wowza Wednesdays are HERE! 

On July 8, we’re heading out for a behind-the-scenes tour of Oracle Park—home of the Giants!

We’ll meet at Valley Community Church at 9:30 AM for drop-off, then hop in vans and head to the park for an unforgettable experience. We’ll eat lunch at Oracle Park, watch the Giants game, then head back to the church!

Pickup: 4 PM

What’s included:

• Transportation via vans

Join us for Donuts with Dad this Father’s Day! Enjoy a sweet treat before or after service as we honor the men who mean so much to us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Parents and families of 5th graders, join us on Saturday, June 20 from 12-2 PM as we celebrate our kids promoting into middle school! (All kids will move up the first Sunday in July; we are celebrating beforehand!)

We are so excited to honor this special milestone with an afternoon full of swimming, food, games, and fun. We’ll have hot dogs, drinks, BBQ favorites, snacks, and plenty of time to hang out together by the pool.

Throughout this five-week course, we’ll walk through our mission, core beliefs, and the distinctives that shape who we are as a church. We’ll also talk about why Covenant Membership matters and how being part of the church family helps us grow together as apprentices of Jesus. Along the journey, you'll explore your spiritual gifts and discover practical ways to connect, serve, and participate in the life of VCC.

Whether you’re new to the church or ready to go deeper, Way of Apprenticeship is a great place to learn who we are, meet our team as well as others like yourself, and discover how you can find your place here.

If you’re walking through infertility, secondary infertility, or miscarriage, you don’t have to walk alone. Shiloh is a community of women who support one another through this season with faith, honesty, and hope.

Treasures in the Waiting is an 8-week Bible study and support group for women experiencing infertility. Join us for Shiloh Connect on Sunday, April 26 at 11 AM to meet other women, learn about the upcoming study, and see if it’s a good fit for you.

Join us for Family Baptism Night, a special time when we eat dinner together and celebrate our children and students as they get baptized! This is seriously one of the best things we do all year.

If you think baptism is a good next step for your child or student, or if they have expressed interest in baptism, please talk with them and encourage them to come to one of our baptism classes. You can sign them up at the link below. If your child does get baptized, feel free to invite your family and close friends to celebrate with us on April 22!

What does the baptism class look like?
We meet at Meadowlark Dairy and walk across the street to the park, where we will be crystal clear on what baptism is, why it’s important, and the theology behind it. We’ll eat good ice cream, read Scripture together, and talk about the significance of baptism. There are a few different time slots available over the next few weeks.
