Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a public way of showing that we belong to Jesus. It symbolizes being washed clean from sin and stepping into new life with Him. The Bible teaches that when we put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven and receive the Holy Spirit—baptism is an outward sign of that inward transformation (Acts 2:38).

Baptism doesn't make us right with God; it's a response to the faith we already have. The water represents cleansing, but it's our trust in Jesus that brings forgiveness (1 Peter 3:21).

It's also an act of obedience and a declaration that we’re committed to following Him.

To help you prepare, we offer a baptism class two weeks before each scheduled baptism. Classes meet Sundays from 10:00–10:45AM in the VCC Conference Room.
