Welcome to VCC Kids!

VCC Kids accompanies kids and their families as they grow to know and love Jesus. We partner with parents of children (birth - 5th grade) to teach their children who God is through age-appropriate Bible stories, fun activities, worship, and prayer. We focus on creating a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for them to gather and develop in a community of faith.

Wednesdays at 6:45 PM - 8:15 PM

When you join us for the first time, please stop by our Welcome Center desk located in the back of the church in the kids' building. We will have you fill out a quick form about your family and then check in your children. Our staff and volunteers will show you to your child's classroom.

Your child’s safety is our top priority, so you can enjoy the service with peace of mind. Our computerized check-in and paging systems ensure secure, efficient access. All volunteers are fingerprinted, background checked, and thoroughly trained to care for your children.

Check-In & Pickup Info
All kids (Nursery–5th Grade) check in at the Welcome Center in the back of the church. Each child receives two name tags and a parent pickup code. One tag goes on your child, and the other is given to their teacher. Parents should keep the pickup code for pickup time.
Nursery–Preschool
Children go straight to their classrooms after check-in. Drop-off and pickup both happen in the same room.
Kindergarten–3rd Grade
Kids start in the Blue Room behind the Welcome Center, then move to their classrooms. Pickup happens in the classroom.
4th–5th Grade
Kids head straight to their classrooms after check-in. Pickup happens in the classroom.
Your pickup tag includes the room name and number if you forget where to go.
Anyone age 16 or older may drop off and pick up children.
We offer programming for children from Nursery through 5th grade and classes are grouped by ages & stages. Our current class breakdown is:
- Nursery: 0–17 months
- Steady Walkers & 2s: 18–35 months
- 3-Year-Olds: Age 3
- 4s–Preschool: Ages 4–5
- Kindergarten & 1st Grade
- 2nd & 3rd Grade
- 4th & 5th Grade
All kids belong here! We’re excited to welcome children with special needs and are grateful you entrust them to us. Our Disability Ministry offers support through one-on-one buddies in classrooms and the Friendship Class, a low-sensory, adaptive environment with Bible stories, music, and activities.
Whenever possible, kids with special needs also join age-appropriate classes, and support is available during midweek programs and special events. Every child is encouraged to participate fully in the life of our church as we join together in our every member mission and strive to be a high inclusion Church. Keeping your children safe is one of our top priorities. On Sundays and during midweek programs, we have roaming safety officers, and all leaders working with kids are background-checked, livescanned, and trained as mandated reporters. They follow our child protection policies and take extra precautions to ensure every child remains safe in our care.
Parents check in with a phone number so we can reach you immediately if needed during services. Your child’s safety is our commitment.

Love holding babies or hearing toddler chatter? Love kids? We do too—and we want them to grow up loving Jesus. Our VCC Kids volunteers and teachers help create a safe, loving, and joy-filled environment where kids can learn about their faith in creative and meaningful ways. Volunteers make all of our ministries possible, including our wild (and often wet!) summer events, and help us engage with the little ones in our church and our community.
