Baptism Sunday
Baptism is a public way of showing that we belong to Jesus. It symbolizes being washed clean from sin and stepping into new life with Him. The Bible teaches that when we put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven and receive the Holy Spirit—baptism is an outward sign of that inward transformation (Acts 2:38).
Baptism doesn't make us right with God; it's a response to the faith we already have. The water represents cleansing, but it's our trust in Jesus that brings forgiveness (1 Peter 3:21). It's also an act of obedience and a declaration that we’re committed to following Him.
To help you prepare, we offer a baptism class a few weeks before each scheduled baptism.

Join us for Sisterhood Night!
Sisterhood Night, previously called The Well, is a gathering for women from every generation and we would love to have you there!
We are excited to welcome guest speaker Julie Fowler, who will share a message about our God who sees and knows us. Julie Fowler is an author, speaker, pastoral care leader, and the executive director of Julie Fowler Ministries, a nonprofit devoted to helping women discover God’s comfort and hope. Out of her own journey through waiting and loss, Julie has become passionate about encouraging women with the truth of Scripture and the assurance that God sees them in every season.
She is the author of two Bible studies and has spoken for MOPS International, The NEST, and on several podcasts including Don’t Mom Alone and Connected Families. For over 20 years, Julie has been equipping women and churches to walk alongside those who are hurting with grace and truth.
Julie and her husband live in Dallas, Texas, and are the parents of three children.

Men's Retreat
Take massive action. Step away. Step into brotherhood.
Last year, 50 men gathered at Mount Hermon for our first retreat with the theme Keep Your Garden. It was honest, intergenerational, and surprisingly powerful: elders and younger men alike teaching, sharing, and hanging out together.
This year we’re building on that foundation. Expect solid teaching from Mike Laine, Kent Laws, Steve Johnson and others, plus space to reflect on themes from both Scripture and Morgan Snyder's book Becoming a King. No prep required—just showing up is enough. You’ll find authentic fellowship, great food, a T-shirt and swag included, and plenty of free time to enjoy downtown Santa Cruz or the beach.
Details
Cost: $300 (covers lodging, meals, a T-shirt and swag)
Location: Mount Hermon Camp & Conference Center

Baptism Sunday
Baptism is a powerful symbol of new life. It’s a way to publicly declare the transformation God has already begun in you—marking a step of faith, obedience, and belonging in His story. If you haven’t been baptized yet, we invite you to take this step.
Sign up for one of our upcoming baptisms, and we’ll walk with you through the journey. A baptism class is held two weeks before to help you understand its significance and prepare for this meaningful moment (Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38–41).

Men's Light Night
Men’s Light Night: Becoming Like-Hearted
Campfires • Sausages • Brotherhood
Most of us want brotherhood—but what we actually have is a group chat and a calendar that says otherwise. We long for connection, but we’re tired. Overloaded. Stuck. What if the answer isn’t more hustle, better time management, or a perfect system?
There is an answer. This month’s Light Night is inspired by Morgan Snyder’s Becoming a King, and the idea of becoming like-hearted—not just like-minded or like-scheduled. Like-hearted men walk in the light together, fight for one another’s gardens, and refuse to settle for surface-level friendship.
Expect cornhole and games, campfires, grilled sausages, and a short word to stir your heart. You’ll leave full—but more importantly, connected.
$10 | Bring your own camping chair and a friend. Let’s build something real.
Lunch & Learn w/ the Talleys
Join us for a special Lunch & Learn as we hear from Melinda Talley, a longtime VCC mission partner serving in Málaga, Spain with Novo. Her heart is to create safe, Spirit-led spaces where Spaniards can encounter Jesus—through spiritual companionship, healing prayer, creative discipleship, and practical acts of love in her neighborhood.
You'll be encouraged by her stories of walking with not-yet-believers, nurturing new leaders, and awakening a generation to join God’s redemptive work in Málaga and beyond. Whether through coaching, counseling, marriage resources, or everyday conversations over coffee, the Talleys are living out the Gospel in powerful, everyday ways.
Come be inspired—and discover how you can pray for and support what God is doing in Spain. Lunch is provided!
