Serve With Us

Connections Team

Our team serves at the Connections Desk before and after each service. This is a central place for information, event signups, and various ministry resources. These team members answer questions and help people take their next steps.

Greeter

Greeters offer a friendly welcome to people as they enter the Sanctuary lobby, answer questions, and provide directions.

Our coffee bar team serves coffee and tea at the Inklings Coffee bar inside the Sanctuary lobby. Not sure how to make slow drip coffee? No worries! We will train you for the role.

Media Team

Our Media Team shares VCC happenings online through photography, videography, social media, and graphics.

Ushers offer a friendly greeting to people as they enter the sanctuary, help seat people, and make sure the doors are closed once service begins. After the service, they clean up communion cups and items left in the pews.

Worship Arts

Help serve in our worship services! The primary serving opportunities are in music, both vocal and instrumental, though serving opportunities can include other elements such as setup and “bumper videos.”

Worship

Assist in the audio-visual department, including sound, visuals, and video recording. Serving opportunities include adult worship services, Student Ministry, and VCC Kids.

Disability Ministry

The Friendship Class exists for those with disabilities that are unable to be involved in VCC Kids or Student Ministry. We will train you to serve in this ministry.

Friendship Class

A few days a year, VCC offers a day of fun for children with disabilities to give their parents a much-needed rest. We need your help to pull this ministry off!

Respite Events

VCC Kids

Love holding babies or hearing toddler chatter? This team provides a safe and loving environment for our precious little ones.

Birth to Kindergarten

Love kids? We do too, and we want them to grow up loving Jesus. Our VCC Kids teachers are passionate about teaching kids in a creative way that helps them understand their faith.

1st - 5th Grade

Volunteers make all of our ministries possible, and that includes our wild (and often wet!) summer events for kids. Help us engage with the little ones in our church and our community!

Summer Programs

Student Ministry

Come join the fun and serve as a small group leader in Refuge (Middle School Ministry) or Local (High School Ministry), which meet on Wednesdays at 6:45 PM.

Care & Compassion Ministry

The primary purpose of the Care & Compassion Ministry is to mobilize members of the congregation to provide “care” to others, primarily within the sphere of Valley Community Church.

This ministry is an outreach to those at Valley Community Church who have lost a spouse. The VCC deacons organize this ministry with the purpose of providing a coordinated outreach and offering an awareness of available resources at VCC and/or outside community services. Volunteers will assist the deacons in providing maintenance help to widows, as well as offering personal encouragement (e.g. cards) to widows and widowers.
