What to Expect
Every weekend, we gather together for a time of singing, prayer, biblical teaching, and communion. We believe that our Sundays gatherings are a gift — given to us by the Lord — for the maturing of believers, the exalting of our King Jesus, and an open-armed invitation for those far from God to taste and see the goodness of God. Our weekly gatherings are a vital part of the healthy and formative life-rhythms of believers. As we gather together, our faith is strengthened and renewed, that we may truly live as the people of God, as apprentices of Jesus, in a broken world. All are welcome.
The Gathering
Each Sunday we lift our voices in songs of adoration, confession, hope, thanksgiving, and joy. Through our songs we remember the goodness of God, our own weakness, and the great hope we have in Jesus. We believe in singing songs that are filled with biblical truth and brimming with the gospel, so that we will be formed more and more into the likeness of Jesus.
The Music
The Word of God is paramount and the centerpiece of our gathered time. God has first spoken to us through his Word—all we do is in response to his gracious call to us. God speaks to us through the Scriptures— giving instruction, correction, hope, and renewing the very joy of our salvation through the story of redemption that runs throughout the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation (the first and the last book). We believe the Bible is the God-breathed, humanity-penned, story-shaped library that leads us to Jesus. It is a brilliantly designed unified narrative, not simply a collection of laws or rules or best practices. When the good news of Jesus goes forth in our services, it feeds us and calls out to those far from God to confession, faith, and new life!
The Word
The Word leads us to respond, to eat from the Table of Grace. Just as Christ has told us to do, we come to the table every week to share our family meal, celebrating what our Savior has done for us. We confess and repent of our sins and we remind ourselves of the grace that covers those sins forever. Believers are nourished body (bread) and blood (wine/juice) of our crucified, risen, and ascended King.
